Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, November 6, 2003 
Paul Joseph Hamilton Jr., 54, died peacefully in his home in the 1000 block of
Norwich Ave. early Monday morning, Nov. 3, 2003. Mr. Hamilton was predeceased by
his mother, Carlena Hamilton; father, Paul Joseph Hamilton Sr.; grandparents,
the Rev. and Mrs. Walter Hamilton; and stepsister, Valerie Claud.

Mr. Hamilton was educated in the Norfolk public schools and was a graduate of
Norfolk State University with a major in sociology.

Survivors include his stepmother, Joan R. Hamilton and niece, Ryian Claud;
aunts, Alice Walton and Frances Prince of Virginia Beach; and an aunt, Thelma
Calhoun and uncle, Ellsworth Johnson of Norfolk. His extended family includes
Levene Holly, Dolores Johnson, Ronald Robinson, Rolfe Robinson of Norfolk, Dr.
Winifred Reid and Dr. James Robinson and Sabina Hall of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be held Friday at noon at Shiloh Baptist Church, Norfolk, with
Dr. John Foster officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will
be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
