Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, February 9, 1994 
Laura E. ``Peaches'' Hamlin of the 7400 block of Gregory Drive, a retired
housekeeper for the Omni Hotel, died Feb. 7, 1994, in her residence.

She was born in Norfolk and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Winifred E. Jones, Elviea D. Hamlin , Latonia
P. Stevens, all of Norfolk, and Renee Rashid of Portsmouth; three sons, Charles
E. Jones and Eric C. Jones, both of Norfolk, and Michael B. Jones of Portsmouth;
two sisters, Mildred Walker and Helen M. Jones of Norfolk; four brothers, Vernon
Jones Sr. and Raymond Jones, both of Norfolk, Daniel W. Jones of North Carolina
and Linwood E. Jones of Portsmouth; 24 grandchildren; and her fiance, James L.
Butts of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Graves Funeral Home by the
Rev. Anthony Moses. Friends may join the family at the residence.
