Norfolk Virginian December 6, 1892

Mrs. Mary J. Hammond, a widow lady, sister of Mr. G.H.B. Miller, died at her 
residence, 515 Brambleton Avenue, Sunday at 11 a.m. The funeral took place 
yesterday afternoon from the residence at 3 o'clock, Rev. J.J. Wicker, of 
Spurgeon Memorial Church, officiating and the remains were interred in Elmwood 
Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. James Hammond, who died Sunday morning, took place at the 
residence of her brother, George V. Miller, in Brambleton, at 4 o'clock 
yesterday.
She leaves one brother, son-in-law and two grandchildren. She was the mother-in-
law of Mr. J.E. Beachum.
