Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, Nov. 29,1958
Funeral services for Mrs. Vinnie Hammond were conducted Thursday, Nov. 20 at 2
p.m. at the First Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial was in Calvary cemetery with
Graves Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Hammond died Nov. 16 after a short illness.  She lived at 920 Tyler street
and is survived by a son, James H. Hammond of Norfolk and a daughter, Mrs. Mary
Alexander, Washington DC.  there is also a brother, Virgil Steward of Brooklyn NY.
