She was a native of Princess Anne County and lived in Norfolk most of her life, lately at 311 W. 27th St. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, its T.F.L. Bible Class and its Woman's Missionary Society. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charles T. Butler; three sons, Leroy C. Hampshire of American Fork, Utah, and John P. Hampshire Jr. and William F. Hampshire of Norfolk; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body was taken to Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home.
