Virginian Pilot April 17, 1995

Ruth Ambrose Hanasik, 75, of Norfolk, died Saturday, April 15, 1995. Mrs. 
Hanasik was a graduate of Radford College and retired in 1979 from Norfolk 
General Hospital as Assistant Director of Admissions.
Mrs. Hanasik was born in South Norfolk. She was the daughter of Joseph G. and 
Edith R. Ambrose and the widow of LCDR Stephen E. Hanasik Sr.
Survivors include her brother, Birch V. Ambrose of Norfolk; her son and 
daughter-in-law, Stephen and Gail Hanasik of Chesapeake, and their children, 
Belina Kimler, Debbie Bell, and Gerald Armentrout; her son and daughter-in-law, 
Andrew and Donna Hanasik of Virginia Beach, and their daughter and son-in-law, 
Shree and Chris Finch; her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Dr. Richard 
Woodall of Kansas City, Mo. and their children, James Hanasik and Laurie and 
Brian Ray; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jackie Hanasik of Virginia 
Beach and their children, Jason and Jennifer, eight great-grandchildren; and 
many nieces and nephews.
The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel, from 7 to 9 
p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Smith & 
Williams with burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Norfolk following the services. 
Family and friends are welcome following the funeral at 2329 Londale Court, 
Virginia Beach.
