The Virginian Pilot Wednesday July 17, 1968
Miss Alma Rountrey Hanbury, 67, of 1117 Rodgers St., South Norfolk Borough, 
died Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. in a nursing home after a long illness.
A native of South Norfolk, she was a daughter of Amos B. and Mrs. Annie 
Rountrey Hanbury.
She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Miss Gladys Hanbury, Mrs. W.B. Daniel, and Mrs. 
O.D. Poythress of Chesapeake and Mrs. Wylie Christy of Greenville, N.C.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in Francis A. Gay Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Willis E. Joiner of South Norfolk Congregational Christian 
Church.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
