Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday January 23, 1946
Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Hanbury, 62, widow of Miles Albert Hanbury, died at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. Garnett P. Terry, 107 West Severn Road last 
night at 7:30 o'clock.  Besides Mrs. Terry she is survived by another 
daughter, Mrs. Ruth Spencer, of Norfolk; a step daughter, Mrs. Claude 
Hanbury, of South Norfolk; two sons, Millard E. Hanbury, of Norfolk, and 
Miles A. Hanbury, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Willie B. 
Rabey, of Gatesville, N.C.; two grandchildren, five step grandchildren, a 
great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Hanbury was a 
native of Ahoskie, N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk for 44 years and 
was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
