A native of Norfolk County, he had made his home here all of his life. He was the son of the late John and Nancy Hall Hanbury and husband of the late Annie Rountree Hanbury. Surviving are five daughters, Mr. W.B. Daniel, of Norfolk County, Miss Erma Gladys Hanbury and Miss Alma Hanbury of South Norfolk, Mrs. O.D. Poythress, of South Norfolk and Mrs. H.L. Jones, of Norfolk; one son, Vernon B. Hanbury of Portlock, and several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Hanbury was a charter member of the South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
