Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 19, 1931 

Mrs. Mary M. Hanbury, aged 57, wife of Robert F. Hanbury, died at 1:45 o'clock 
yesterday afternoon in her residence, George Washington Highway.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hanbury is survived by three daughters, the 
Misses Mary Elizabeth and Margaret Virginia Hanbury, of this city and Mrs. Helen 
Louise Hanbury, of Powhatan Court House; sons, Robert Franklin Hanbury, Jr., 
Vernon Kilgore Hanbury, Woodrow Wilson Hanbury and Floyd Munroe Hanbury, of this 
city; Noah Garland Hanbury of Norfolk and Wilbert Vincent Hanbury, of Spencer, 
N.C.; sisters, Mrs. Susie C. Joliff and Mrs. Emma Lowe, of Washington, D.C.; 
brothers, Charles A. Tasker, of Asheville, N.C.; John Tasker, of Chicago; Robert 
Tasker, of Washington, D.C. and Wilbert C. Tasker, of Falls Church and six 
grandchildren.
Mrs. Hanbury held membership in Cradock Methodist Church, where the funeral 
service will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.  Burial will take 
place in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.  The body was removed to Snellings Funeral 
Home, where it will remain until tomorrow morning when it will be taken to the 
Hanbury residence.
