Virginian Pilot Monday August 4 2003
Georgia M. Hanbury, 90, formerly of the Winona section of Norfolk for 50 
years, died July 31, 2003, in Palm Springs, Calif.

She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C. and was the widow of Joseph Raleigh 
Hanbury. She was a member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.

Mrs. Hanbury is survived by two sons, G. Raleigh Hanbury of Palm Springs and 
Richard W. Parron of Chesapeake; two grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Elmwood Cemetery by 
the Rev. Penny Pugh. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Following the 
graveside service, family and friends are invited to the home of Richard 
Parron, 2918 Duke of York Drive, Chesapeake.
