Mr. Hancock was born in Winton, N.C. He was formerly employed with Baker Roofing Co. Survivors include his wife, Mary Williams Hancock; three daughters, Debbie Benjamin of Newport News, and Deborah Hancock and Annette Hancock, both of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Williams of Norfolk; four sons, Frank Williams, Joel Williams, Richard Williams and Steven L. Williams and a stepson, Eugene Williams, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Rebecca Hancock of Norfolk and Belinda Freeman of Robersonville, N.C.; five brothers, Charlie Hancock of Robersonville, Jimmy Hancock of Texas, Howard Hancock of Norfolk, Tommy Hancock of Virginia Beach and Tenneyson Hancock of Richmond; and 20 grandchildren. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 4 to 6 p.m. in Twilight Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. for the procession.
