VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Sarah (Sadie) Hicks Hanlon, 83, of 110 S. Budding Ave., died 
in a Norfolk hospital Wednesday.
A native of Buckhorn County, she lived in this area 70 years.
She was the widow of Michael T. Hanlon Sr. and a daughter of Johnny and Mrs. Annie 
R. Hicks.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 160 and Spanish American 
Veterans Widows of War Veterans Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret H. Newton of Virginia Beach, and five 
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
Saturday at 11
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9.
