Norfolk Virginian November 2, 1892
Death of Mr. R.W. Happer.
A telegram to Mr. J. M. Marshall from Durham, N.C., brought the information 
yesterday of the death of Mr. R. W. B. Happer, formerly of this city, which 
occurred in Durham yesterday morning. The remains will arrive here Thursday for 
interment.
He leaves a wife and several children. He was a brother of Captain John W. Happer, 
of Portsmouth, and brother-in-law of Mr. Joseph M. Marshall, of this city. He held 
membership in Norfolk Lodge, No. 9, Knights of Pythias, and in the Norfolk section 
of the Endowment Rank K. of P.
