She was a native of Atlantic City, N.J. She served as a confidential assistant and legislative assistant in the Reagan and Bush administrations and for five years she was Membership Director of the International Club in Washington, D.C. Active in Republican politics, she was convention coordinator for the Planning Committee for the 1996 Republican National Convention. In addition, she campaigned for Mayor Rudolph Guiliani. Most recently, she worked on the Presidential Inaugural for George W. Bush. Survivors include three daughters, Dana McBride of Virginia Beach, Jacqueline Bishop of Silver Bay, N.Y., and Andrea Hughes of Norfolk; two sons, Mark Bishop of Lee, N.H., and Bill Harding of Norfolk; and six grandchildren, Paige Hughes, Christopher McBride, Courtney Hughes, Brooke Hughes, Hannah McBride and Patrick McBride. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Salvador Anonuevo. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
