The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday May 21, 1941
Mrs. Jessie White Hardy, widow of Horace Hardy, a brother of the late 
Caldwell Hardy, who was for years a well-known resident of Norfolk, died at 
the residence of her son, Nat Hardy, at Corpus Christi, Texas, Monday 
morning at 1:50 o'clock. Mrs. Hardy was the daughter of the late Nathaniel 
and Mrs. Virginia Watts White. She was a native and former resident of this 
section, and had resided in Corpus Christi for the past several years.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Norfolk, Thursday at 12 o'clock noon with 
the Rev. Taylor Willis, rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, officiating. 
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
