Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 17,1942
Funeral services for Henry Hardy, 49, 835 Calvert street, were held October 13 
at Hale’s Chapel.  The Rev.R. K. D. Garrett officiated.  Mr. Hardy died on 
October 8 while visiting his birthplace in New Bern, NC.  He had lived here 30 
years.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nonie Hardy;  two sons, two sisters, and 
one brother.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
