Norfolk - A funeral service for Jake Hardy of 1265 Griffin street, was held 
Sunday in Hale Funeral Chapel.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Hardy, a native of Surry County, was the husband of the late Mrs. Ethel Hardy 
and a son of Henry and Mrs. Rachel Hardy.  He died Aug. 15 in a hospital.

Surviving are a brother, William Jones of Philadelphia;  a sister, Mrs. Hannah 
Blackwell of Norfolk;  and a niece, Mrs. Virginia Whitehurst of Norfolk.
