Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, October 6, 1993 
Sevella E. Hardy of the 1600 block of Hunter St., a retired elementary school
teacher, died Oct. 1, 1993.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Mary Hassell Copes and was
a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church. She was retired from the
Norfolk County public schools after more than 40 years of service.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist
Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Cedrick Kirkland-Harris. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service.
The body will be placed in church at noon Thursday. The funeral will assemble at
the church at 12:45 p.m. Thursday.
