Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 11, 1932

Nancy Jane Hare, widow of George K. Hare, a member of one of the best known 
families of this section, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home 
of her son, Russell Hare, at Princeton, W.Va.  She was in the eighty-fifth 
year of her age.
Mrs. Hare and her husband lived in South Norfolk many years, until the death 
of her husband.  She was a daughter of the late Gorham P. and Celinda 
Cleveland Watkins of Watkins Glen, N.Y.  Surviving her are one son, Russell 
Hare, of Princeton; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, of this 
city. 
The body will be brought here Sunday for burial in the family plot in 
Magnolia Cemetery and will be taken to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 
1027 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk, pending time for funeral, which will 
be announced later.

HARE - At the home of her son, Russell Hare, Princeton, W. Va., MRS. NANCY 
JANE HARE, widow of George R. Hare, and daughter of the late Gorham P. and 
Mrs. Celinda Cleveland Watkins, of Watkins Glen, N.Y., in the 85th year of 
her age.
The body will be brought here THIS (Sunday), June 12, and will be taken to 
the home of Mr. and Mrs. John McGraw, 1824 Springfield Avenue, Campostella 
Heights, where funeral services will be conducted at 4 o'clock.  Burial in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
