Virginian Pilot Tuesday July 24, 1906

The funeral of the late George R. Hare, who died Sunday evening in his home 
in Arlington Avenue, Campostella Heights, will take place in Memorial 
Methodist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock.  The interment will be made in 
Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
Mr. Hare was 64 years old, and was born in Starkey, N.Y.  He had lived in 
this vicinity about forty years.  Formerly he lived in the county, but of 
late years he made his home in Berkley, with the exception of the last year, 
which he spent at Campostella Heights.  He was a member of Memorial 
Methodist Church, Berkley, having joined it by letter in 1900.
His wife, who was Miss Jennie Watkins and one son, Russell Hare, survive 
him.
