NORFOLK — Ernest Southgate Hargrove, 86, of 1309 Kempsville Road, died Wednesday 
in a hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and the husband of the late Ethel Taylor 
Hargrove. He had retired from Railway Express and was a member of Wesleymen Bible 
Class, John Walters Royal Arch Chapter 68, Khedive Temple and Owen Lodge 164, 
AF&AM.
Survivors include a son, Edward Taylor Hargrove of Miami.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. 
Paul B. Watlington Jr. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, has charge.
