NORFOLK - Alphonso D. Hargrove, of the 9500 block of 17th Bay Ave., a student, 
died April 6,1988, in a hospital.
  Mr. Hargrove, a native of Norfolk, was a student at Lake Taylor High School.  
He was a Baptist.
  Survivors include his parents, Myrtle V. and Curley Hargrove; three sisters, 
Melissa D. Vines, Tracy Hargrove, and Debra Hargrove, all of Norfolk; and a 
grandmother, Mary Vines of Virginia Beach.
  The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Graves Funeral Home Chapel by 
the Rev. Ernest Clark.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
  The family will be at 776 Lake Edward Drive, Virginia Beach.
