Virginian Pilot February 15, 1988

Arthur Harper Sr., of the 2500 block of Druid Circle, died Feb. 13, 1988 in a 
hospital.
Mr. Harper, a native of Essex, N.C., was the widower of Tola B. Harper. He was a 
member of St. John A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mellasenah H. Young, Odelia H. Harrison, Pearl 
H. Harper, Tola H. Epperson and Camilla H. Wheelock, all of Norfolk; two sons, 
Arthur J. Harper of Virginia Beach and Nathaniel W. Harper of Santa Anna, 
Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in St. John A.M.E. Church by the 
Rev. I.W. Knight Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is 
handling arrangements. The family will be at the residence.
