Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, March 28, 1996 
Della ``Banjo Boy'' Harper, 76, of the 2800 block Princess Anne Road, died
Saturday, March 23, 1996.

She was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., and was the wife of Joseph Harper of
Norfolk. She was a member of Holy Jerusalem COGIC, Norfolk.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Harper; sister-in-law, Bertha Smith of
Norfolk; two nieces, Princess Daughtry and Sarah Resse of Norfolk; two nephews,
Woodrow and William Buett of Norfolk; and many family and friends with one
devoted friend, Mrs. Thalma Young.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Elder Queenie Barton in Holy
Jerusalem COGIC, Norfolk. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is
in charge of the arrangements.
