She was the daughter of the late N.C. and Mrs. Harriet Jane Baker Boyett, and wife of Walter E. Harper. Mrs. Harper was a native of Wilson County, N.C., and had made her home in this section for the past 38 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. W.W. Early, Mrs. J.H. Pierce, Mrs. R.P. Pierce, Mrs. C.T. Venters and Miss Ethel Harper, all of South Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Sudie Hinnant, Kenly, N.C.; Mrs. Alice Winborne, Wilson, N.C., and Mrs. Reggee Knight, Raleigh, N.C.; four brothers, J.D. Boyett, Sims, N.C.; N.G. Boyett, South Norfolk; R.T. Boyett, Raleigh, and J.H. Boyett, Rocky Mount, N.C., and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Harper was a member of the South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, Ohio and Rodgers streets, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
