Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb. 21, 1976
Norfolk - Mrs. Mary S. Harps, 85, of 932 Reservoir Ave., the widow of 
Charlie Harps and a native of Florence, SC, died Friday, Feb. 6 at 975 
Reservoir Ave.

She was a member of  Greater Metropolitan AME Zion Church.

Survivors include a son, Nathaniel Harps of Norfolk;  three grandchildren;  
and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 8 in Greater Metropolitan AMEZ 
Church by the Rev. Jackson A. Browne.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Jones Funeral Home in charge.
