Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 1,1960
A service was held last week for Mrs. Lottie Harris, 38, of 717 Franklin 
Court, at the Citizens Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Larry Melton officiated.

A native of Columbia NC, Mrs. Harris was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Her survivors include her father and mother, Haywood Sykes and Mrs. Florence 
Sykes; a daughter, Miss Linda Harris; four sisters, Mrs. Macie Rice and Mrs. 
Ella Mixon of Elizabeth City NC, and Mrs. Roberta Sutton and Mrs. Doris Sykes 
of Norfolk; and a brother, James Sykes.
