Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Harris, 1034 Church street, who died 
October 31 at her residence at 5:25 a.m. were conducted November 3 at 1 p.m. 
from the Queen Street Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. J. Jasper Freeman 
officiating.

Mrs. Harris was 64 and had lived all her life in Norfolk.  She was a 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Harris;  one sister, Mrs. Mary Clary;  
one grandson, Melvin Ferebee and a daughter.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
