Funeral rites were given Mrs. Esther Jones Harris Friday, Feb. 10 at Holy Temple 
Church, 727 Chapel street.  The Rev. Paul Bradley, pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Harris, a Norfolk native, died Feb. 6 in a New York hospital after an 
illness of two months.  A graduate of Norfolk’s Booker T. Washington High 
School, the deceased was the daughter of James L. and Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of 
1035 Oaklawn avenue.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, William C. Harris;  son, 
Tyrone Harris;  daughter, Cynthia Harris;  sister, Mrs. Mary Marker;  two aunts, 
two uncles, nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Company in charge.
