Chesapeake - A funeral service for Mrs. Margaret M. Harris of 420 Freeman avenue 
will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Money Point.  The 
Rev. E. L. Proctor will officiate.

She was the widow of Carlton Harris and a native of Southampton County.  Her 
parents were Mrs. Annie Bynum Artis and the late Garfield Artis.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Money Point.

Besides her husband and mother, surviving are four sons, Carlton Harris Jr., 
Dwain Harris, Anthony Harris, and Clayton Harris, and four daughters, Misses 
Thresa Harris, Debora Harris, Denise Harris and Margaret Harris, all of 
Chesapeake;  six brothers, Lorenzo Artis, Raymond Artis, and Randolph Artis of 
Chesapeake, Hurley Artis of Portsmouth, Booker T. Artis of Norfolk, and 
Sylvester Artis of White Plains, NY;  and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Brown of 
Chesapeake.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with Chatman Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
