Norfolk - Funeral services were held for Alvester Harris, 67, of 1305 Wide 
street recently.  He was a Wilson, NC, native and the son of Jack and Mrs. 
Henrittia Harris and the husband of Mrs. Cleo Harris.

The funeral was in Hale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. C. Butts as the minister 
in charge.  Interment was held in Calvary Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, his survivors include one son, Jimmie Lee Harris of 
Wilson, NC;  two brothers, Lester Harris and Jimmie Lee Harris of Durham, and 
two sisters, Mrs. Beulah L. Grant, of Wilson, and Mrs. Georgianna King of 
Norfolk.
