Chesapeake - A funeral service for Quincy Harris of 425 Freeman avenue, who died 
June 16 in a Hampton hospital, was held Saturday in Bethany Baptist Church.  The 
Rev. R. I. Edler delivered the eulogy.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Chatman Funeral Home in charge.

The Norfolk county native was the son of Carey Harris and Mrs. Kate Harris.  Mr. 
Harris was a retired custodian worker of B. T. Washington High School, a trustee 
of Bethany Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War I.

His survivors include a brother, Vernon Harris of Chesapeake;  and three 
sisters, Mrs. Lena Woodley of Chesapeake, Mrs. Marie Artis and Mrs. Viola Brown 
of Atlantic City, NJ.
