Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark Friday June 20, 1924
John N. Harris, aged 63 years, died Wednesday night at 8 o'clock at a local 
hospital.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clare Harris; a brother, Hamilton R. 
Harris; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Nelson, and a son, William Harris, all of Norfolk.  
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral 
apartment of James V. Derry, 346 West Twelfth street.  The Rev. R.J. Dogan, pastor 
of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
