He was carried there from No. 21 Fenchurch street, where he had a room, and lived buy a short while after being removed. Harris was a well-known character around Norfolk and was frequently seen on the street, peddling lead pencils, shoestrings and other small articles. He was taken ill several days ago and, when a physician was summoned yesterday, it was found that his condition was critical and he was ordered removed to the hospital. It is said that Harris had an aunt living in Washington and a sister living somewhere in Virginia, but their names and addresses could not be learned. Harris at one time was employed by the C. and O. Railway and one of his legs was cut off by a train. He was attended in a hospital at Clifton Forge, Va. Unless one of his supposed relatives is heard from today, he will be buried by the city.
