NORFOLK – Alberta Harris, 63, of 3271 Kimball Terrace, a native of New Kent County
and the widow of Leonard Harris, died Monday in a hospital.

Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Johnson of Williamsburg and
Katherine Munden of Virginia Beach; two sons, Sterling Lowery and Henry Lowery, both
of Norfolk; five sisters, Irene Street and Lula Akrie, both of Lanexa, Maggie Cowan
of East Orange, N.J., Florence Brooks of Richmond and Susan Banks of Williamsburg;
six brothers, Charles Meekins of New York, James Meekins, Robert Meekins and William
Meekins, all of Richmond, Floyd Meekins of Hampton and Albert Meekins of New Kent
County, and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk
Chapel, by the Rev. J.B. Sharp. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Thursday evening in the funeral home. The family will assemble
at 1 p.m. Friday at 933 Trice Terrace.
