Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, January 12, 1993
Madie Mitchell Harris of the 6300 block of Glenoak Drive, died Jan. 10, 1993, in 
a local hospital. 

Mrs. Harris was born in Wilson, N.C., a daughter of the late Allen and Eliza 
Artis Mitchell. She was the widow of Herman Harris Sr., and was a former member 
of Campostella Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

Survivors include three daughters, Mable L. Latimer and Helen P. Baker, both of 
Norfolk, and Annie D. Wilson of Hope Mills, N.C.; a son, Herman Harris of 
Norfolk; a sister, Pearl M. Barnes of Wilson; nine grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Riddick Funeral Service by Dr. 
Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
