Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 24, 2000 
Mattye W. Harris, 83, died March 20, 2000, at a local hospital.

Born in Virginia, she was a retired housekeeper of St. Mary's Rectory, Norfolk.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Basilica, the Women's
Club of St. Mary's and the gospel choir.

She is survived by a very good friend, Lorna Outlaw and her husband, Charles.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of
the Immaculate Conception Basilica by the Rev. Monsignor Walter C. Barrett.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to
the Basilica of St. Mary in Mattye's memory. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home,
Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
