Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb. 26,1966
Norfolk - Herman Harris of  816 Clay avenue, a 19 year employee of the Norfolk
Naval Supply Center and Masonic Lodge member, was given funeral rites Monday in
Campostella Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church.  The Rev. C. W. Scales
officiated at the service.  Mr. Harris was buried in Calvary Cemetery with
Citizens Funeral Home in charge.

The Wilson, NC, native is survived by his wife, Mrs. Madie Harris,  two sons,
Herman Jr., and Junius Harris of Norfolk;  three daughters, Mrs. Mable Lattimer
and Mrs. Helen Baker of Norfolk, and Mrs. Annie Black of New York;  three
brothers, George Harris, Loston Harris Jr., and Frank Harris of Wilson;  four
sisters, Mrs. Lendora Foxx of Norfolk, Mrs. Rosa Bynum and Gladys Harris of
Wilson, and Mrs. Lula Belle Clay of Baltimore, and others.
