Virginian Pilot November 17, 1963

William Robert Harris, 75, of 1627 St. Dennis Ave., husband of Mrs. Mary Edmonds 
Harris and son of Joseph and Mrs. Lydia Martin Harris, died in a hospital 
Saturday at 4:30 a.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a member of Woodmen of the World and a 
retired employee of the Norfolk Fire Division with 28 years of service.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Harris Thomas 
and Mrs. Alma Harris Lee of Norfolk and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Monday at 1 p.m. 
by the Rev. A.G. Stables of LeKies Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
