Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Harris, 70, of 807 Lincoln St. died Monday night in her home
after a long illness.

A native of Raleigh, NC, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Battles and the
wife of Albert Harris.

She had lived in Norfolk 53 years.

Besides her widower, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lula Battles of Portsmouth;
two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a nephew and five nieces.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home, where a funeral service will
be held Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. J. Q. A. Lassiter,of Bethlehem Baptist
Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
