Funeral services for Rev. Charles A. Harris will be conducted Saturday, December
6 at 1 p.m. at the Macedonia Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. J. M.
Copeland.  Rev. Mr. Harris died Monday, Dec. 1 at his residence, 1400 Lead street.

He was the son of the late Henry and Mrs. Lidia Harris of Princess Anne County,
VA., and was a life-long resident of Norfolk.

He was the ex-pastor of New Hope, St. Mark and Providence Congregational
Christian Churches of Norfolk;  also the ex-pastor of Zion and Laurel  Hill
Congregation Christian churches of Holland, Va;  and Ebenezer Congregational
Christian Church of Burlington,NC.

He was past president of the Eastern Virginia Congregational Conference.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie Harris and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Fitchett’s Funeral Home in charge.
