Funeral services for John Harris were conducted April 30 at 1 p.m. from Kings
Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. J. B. Henderson officiated, burial was in West Point
Cemetery and Kings Funeral Home was in charge.

He was a native of Norfolk and resided at 837 Windsor avenue.  He died April 27
in a local hospital.

He is survived by a stepson, William Ebans;  stepdaughter, Mrs. Rosa Jones;  a
sister, Miss Estelle Langley;  brother-in-law, Walter Steptoe and other relatives.
