Harrison, engineer on the John L. Roper Lumber Company's yacht Cyrene, commanded by Captain Snow, died very suddenly about 9 o'clock yesterday morning under the following circumstances: The two men were conversing together on a box, when Mr. Harrison, without giving any previous sign of illness, called to Captain Snow for help and fell over, expiring within less than a minute, without again speaking. Dr. Payne was hastily summoned, but arrived too late to render assistance. He attributed the sudden death to heart disease. Coroner Newton was notified and, after viewing the body, turned it over to Undertaker Smith. Mr. Harrison resided on Camp avenue, Atlantic City Ward, and leaves a widow and two children. He came to Norfolk from Brandon, on the James, and had been employed by the Roper Lumber Company about three years. It is said that he occasionally complained of pains about the heart.
