She was a member of the Church of the Ascension, in which she was active, and was a past president of Pickett-Buchanan Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Harriss is survived by her husband, Frederick P. Harriss, one son, Frederick P. Harriss, Jr., three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harriss Gallagher, Mrs. George Louis Johnson and Miss Edythe Campbell Harriss, one sister, Mrs. William E. Hudgins, Jr., and two grandchildren, Billy and Betty Gallagher, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the Cox Funeral Home to the Church of the Ascension for funeral services tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. John F. Ward, pastor of the Church of the Ascension, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
