Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, June 17, 1994 
Rev. Ralph Harris Sr., 81, of the 600 block of Partridge Ave., died June 15,
1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born in Norfolk and was a minister of several Hampton Roads churches. He
was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Norfolk. He was a retired
accounting clerk from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 34 years and was a
World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva S. Harris; three daughters, Wilhelmina Hart
and Lila Harris, both of Norfolk, and Vera Stephens of Chesapeake; two sons,
Ralph Harris Jr. of Bedford, Va. and Thaddeus Harris of Philadelphia; six
grandchildren; two stepdaughters; and one stepson.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Thomas AMEZ Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. G.L. Scott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake
service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel. Family and friends
will assemble at the residence at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
