Richard S. Harrod, 40, of the 1500 block of Janke Road, died Jan. 6, 1993, in a 
hospital.

Mr. Harrod was born in Norfolk and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He 
had been a self-employed caterer in Washington, D.C.

Survivors include his mother, Cecilia Decker Harrod, and a sister, Annette Harrod, 
both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Dennis Harrod of Norfolk and Bruce Harrod of 
Virginia Beach; and an uncle, Mitchell Decker of Norfolk.

A funeral will be at noon Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. 
Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Norfolk. The family will be 
at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
