NORFOLK - William Edward Hart, 84, of the 1300 block of Laurel Crescent, died 
Aug. 15, 2005, in his home. Mr. Hart was born in Norfolk, the son of the late 
James Patrick Hart and Abigail Jeffers Hart. He was a graduate of Maury High 
School and a member of the nocturnal society. Mr. Hart was a member of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his sister, 
Alicia Hart. Survivors include his wife, Grace Chick Hart; a brother, James 
Joseph Hart and his wife Billie of Norfolk; his niece, Sharon Hart Flowers and 
her husband Chuck of Norfolk; and his nephew, James Patrick Hart and his wife 
Gail and their daughter Mollye of Virginia Beach. A funeral Mass will be 
conducted at noon Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Joseph 
H. Metzger III. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. The 
family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of 
flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 
6400 Newport Ave., Norfolk, VA 23505. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk 
Chapel, is handling arrangements.
