A native of Wilson, NC, she was a daughter of Jonah and Mrs. Martha Ann Farmer and wife of Ernest Hart. She was employed by Sunlight Laundry 10 years. Surviving are four brothers, Ernest Farmer of New York City, Marcellus Farmer, Elijah Farmer and Charlie Farmer, all of Newark NJ, and four sisters, Mrs. Sarah E. Edwards, Mrs. Geraldine Dixon and Miss Irene Farmer, all of Wilson NC, and Mrs. Irma L. Faulk of Norfolk. The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Samuel A. Wilson of New Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
