Budding Ave., the widow of G. Fred Harter and daughter of William B. and Mrs. Mary Day Merrill, died in a hospital Wednesday at 4:45 a.m. A native of Carteret County, N.C., she lived in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area 60 years. Sie is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Gracie M. Emmett, Mrs. W. D. Arthur, and Mrs. J. W. Mullins of Norfolk; three brothers, B. B. L. Merrill and Albert L. Merrill of Norfolk and James E. Merrill of Chesapeake. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, Friday at noon by Solomon S. Beiler, minister of Providence Conservative Mennonite Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be at 1509 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk.
